Canyon Creek Elementary is lucky to have such a diverse student body. To celebrate that diversity, the PTA has been holding a school wide multicultural fair every year since 2006.

The Multicultural Fair in spring is a colorful celebration of the many cultures represented in our CCE community! While the country booths allow students to learn about and experience different cultures, the multicultural talent show brings the customs/culture to life through music, dance and song.

We encourage you to start thinking about how to represent your culture or any culture you might be interested in. The fall is a good time to ask your student if they would like to perform in the talent show, help put together a display for the country booths or create a cultural experience. You may also wish to start imagining your display and “shopping your home” for cultural artifacts that you could use to decorate your booth. Those who might be traveling to visit their family in, or hosting family from, their countries of origin during winter break, can think about sourcing items such as flags/banners, handicrafts, posters, clothing or other artifacts during these visits.
